I hope you all had a chance to accumulate the suggested OGRM journal titles. I have given few of the Gynaecological titles I found quite helpful in exam prep.
Gynaecology:
- Modern Management of Fibroid-2013
- Skin disease affecting the Vulva- 2014
- Gestational Trophoblastic Disease- Tables are nicely presented.
- Vulvodynia – 2015
- Hirsutism- 2012
- Adolescent Gynaecology- 2014
Uro Gynaecology:
- Assessment Of Pelvic Organ Prolapse – 2014
- Surgical Management of Stress Urinary Incontinence
- Urological Complications following Gynaecological Surgery-2013
Other:
- USG in Obstetrics & Gynaecology- 2013
- Pre Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PIGD) -2014
My next post will be an important one. I have painstakingly compiled all the sources that need to be tackled for the written exam. So you can see if you all have missed out anything important. So stay glued….

hi anjanana..i just want to ask u what is the right way to study,,,shud we first complete all guidelines and then practice strat go…and should we read tog’s along with each topic..strat go is very vast…do we have to cover everything? regards-ankita
Anjana Mackeen says
Hi, There is no right or wrong way to study. Different techniques work for different people. Better to go through all the guidelines and text books prior to using strat, as it can be useful as a revision tool to see how much you have grasped from the other sources. Do all the Core tutorials from Strat.

Thanks Fozia 🙂 Hope your preparation is going smooth…
Hosam GODA says
PLEASE Anjana tell me if im right, after ihave read your blogs, i have determined my way in preparation to part 2 is studying the following:
1.GTG.
2.TOG
3.NICE GUIDELINES
4.OGRM.
no need to read text books.
Anjana Mackeen says
Aha… NO I don’t think so. Text books are what makes a specialist to be strong at his core knowledge. Guidelines will only tell you how to manage the disease, but where would you learn about the condition it self? My NEXT BLOG is all about the resources. I have compiled them and will post it. It comes in 3 parts. So the above mentioned sources are only half the source for exam. Stay tuned…
Afroz Mohsin says
From above answer on the question from Hosam Goda,
You mean to say that the candidate should get hands on the knowledge of the syptoms or conditions for diagnosis and it will not be available in following:
1-GTG
2-TOG
3-Nice
4-OGRM
Anjana Mackeen says
Well YES, candidate should get hands on the knowledge of the symptoms or conditions for diagnosis, but I would not say it’s totally unavailable in the above. TOG & OGRM does provide these knowledge. But the depth of the issues are dealt mainly in text books. Our aim is not simply passing exams, but also obtaining enough knowledge to be a specialist in this field. That’s my humble opinion. That does not mean you would have to finish a text book from cover to cover, which is quite time consuming, but relying only on the above sources are not advisable. I am currently writing a blog on the other sources, including on the text books. That would help you to make up your mind on what you would prefer to read.

Thanx, Anjana for your advices
